UNCOVERING DATA THAT SPEAKS

At Agency, we believe research is more than numbers on a page—it’s a powerful tool for change. Our team digs deep into the data to uncover stories that reflect the realities of public education, turning statistics into narratives that inspire action. If schools have done a good job, the proof should lie in whether young adults are thriving within the first 10 years after graduation. Are they thriving? The results are mixed.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE TASSEL IS TURNED?

Turning the Tassel—What Generation Z Says About Life After High School Graduation explores how well America’s public schools are preparing students for life after graduation. This report looks beyond test scores to real-world outcomes, including:

  • Employment
  • Earnings
  • Degree completion
  • Homeownership
  • Civic engagement

Drawing on a national survey of more than 5,000 Gen Z graduates, the report finds that while many young adults are on the right path, graduates of public charter schools consistently show stronger early adult outcomes, pointing to clear opportunities to scale what’s working and rethink what’s not.

A CLOSER LOOK AT ALUMNI OUTCOMES IN WASHINGTON STATE

Turning the Tassel in Washington State—Outcomes for Charter Public School Graduates From 2019-2025 examines the real-world outcomes of public charter and district school graduates from 2015–2025. It pairs alumni survey data with a statewide parent poll to understand what happens after graduation and why families make the choices they do. The findings are clear. Washington charter school graduates, especially students from historically underserved communities, are more likely to:

  • Be employed full-time
  • Earn higher wages
  • Pursue postsecondary education
  • Achieve early markers of economic stability

Together, these outcomes make a compelling case for expanding high-quality public school options across the state.

2025 NATIONAL POLL OF PARENTS

A national survey of 2000+ parents finds they are increasingly casting their votes based on candidates’ stances on education.

Key findings include:

  • 65% would vote outside their party based on education issues.
  • Only 29% would vote for a candidate who doesn’t support public school choice .
  • 59% of parents have either considered or started home-schooling their children in the last five years, but only 12% were motivated by vouchers or ESAs.

The data reveal a deep hunger for accountability, public school choice, and better outcomes. Education isn’t just a policy issue—it’s a voting issue.
